Bays United FC

U9-U11 Player Academy

Schedule for Season 2009-10

Greetings parents of U9 and U11 players

Bays United FC is pleased to present the fourth season of our U9-U11 Player Academy in 2000-10. Players who are looking for extra skills development in a technical environment will benefit from this program. Sessions emphasize individual ball handling skills where each player works with their own ball. Please note that the Academy requires a serious commitment to focused training on the part of players as the emphasis is on skills practice, not game play.

Each session will also provide components in agility and speed training per Canadian Sport for Life LTAD guidelines (www.ltad.ca) and its new Canadian Soccer Association adaptation (LTPD).  Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) is the officially-recognized pathway for athlete development in Canada, designed according to the most recent research in human development and sport science.

The Academy will run on Sunday mornings at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre indoor turf field from 9:30am to 10:30am on the following dates:

Term 1:   Oct 4 - Nov 8 ...............................6 sessions for $55

Term 2:   Nov 15 - Dec 6, Jan 17 - 24 ...........6 sessions for $55

Term 3:   Jan 31 - March 7 ...........................6 sessions for $55

Players may register for one, two or three terms, though players who are waitlisted for Terms 1 and 2 will get first option to register for the following term. Registration cost includes a Bays United FC Academy training t-shirt.

Instructors:

Darryl Hooker, U6-U11 Technical Director

Ben Hooker, Staff coach

To register, please contact Darryl Hooker at dch1@shaw.ca

Payment will be received on the first day of the session.

Best wishes for a great soccer season in 2009-10

FAQ for December 2008: What is our club's Intra-Club Permit Policy?

Bays United follows the LISA policy. LISA allows teams in a club to bring up players from a lower division to play in league games by using an Intra-Club Permit. Intra-Club Permits cannot be used for Cup Play. The Intra-Club Permit is found on the LISA Website in the forms page. A maximum of 3 players are allowed to be permitted for any given game.
